Small X's

These can be done in simple ponies or ponies tucked under. I loved this when my girls were little. The first one is just crossed over each other, the second one each is split- 1/2 crossing over, 1/2 straight back-I usually part their hair down the middle first, then do the front 2 squares, making sure they're even, then adding the last 2 squares. Parting straight can be a huge trick sometimes. Make sure the end of the comb is small or use a rat-tail and always stand back and look from the front before putting the elastic in!!
